The top of the line in thermogravimetric analysers or TGA, is the TGA-4000. It offers a cost effective method of doing Loss on Ignition (LOI) on materials such as Iron Ore, Bauxites and other Mineral Ores with minimal operator involvement. The system is designed to provide high throughput TGA results with a capacity to analyse over 1,200 samples in a 24 hour period.
The self contained robotic cell consists of a robot, drying cabinet, carousel loading cabinet, four furnaces and a crucible cooling station and is designed to perform loss on ignition using different temperatures to achieve a 4 point LOI. The furnaces can be programmed to operate at temperatures between 100 and 1000°C and are permanently kept at the programmed temperature.
The Robot performs all the tasks usually undertaken by operators such as loading and unloading the carousels.
The TGA-4000 is programmed to maximise sample throughput by ensuring that all ovens are fully utilised. For safety reasons the robot cell is fully enclosed. The entire system is PC driven and has the ability to import and export data to and from most LIMS Systems. It has a powerful and intuitive user interface that allows the operator to perform all functions of the analysis.

The WS3000 is an automated catch weight system that easily weighs the initial weights of the crucibles and samples. The weigh station can record up to 40 sample's weights ready for import into the LIMS in under 4 minutes.
The weigh station takes over the labour intensive task of weighing effortlessly. With the ergonomic design, samples are added to the crucibles after the initial "tare" weights are recorded.
The weigh station allows for up to 34 fluxing crucibles to be weighed by the system ready for XRF bead making.
The weigh station incorporates a built in file browser to easily save or locate files for import or export. The weigh station automatically detects other LabFit TGA systems on the network so that newly created batchs are exported directly to the TGA batch list. Likewise a TGA operator can import from the batch information by selecting the weigh station ID from the sample details page.
