Sietronics and Innov-X Systems

Innov-X became the first manufacturer to use miniature x-ray tubes in a range of ergonomically designed handheld and field portable extremely versatile analytical instruments.

Sietronics has been the agent for Innov-X's range of products since 2004 and provides sales and after sales service and application support from our Canberra & Perth offices for customers throughout Australia and New Zealand.  All equipment is sold with a factory backed 2 year product warranty.  All equipment is supplied with end user application specific software which spans the elemental range from Mg to U in the ppm to 99.99% range.

Sietronics now able to offer RENTAL and lease to buy options for the Innov-X Handheld (Alpha Series) and Field Portable (X-50 Series) XRF's.

For those who do not wish to purchase an instrument you still have options. We rent our instruments out by the week or month. Also rental payments can contribute to the purchase of an instrument. For more information please Contact Us.

Applications include but are not limited to, Positive Materials Identification (PMI), Non-destructive Testing (NDT) and general quality control, environmental metals analysis, mining and mineral process materials testing, RoHS / WEEE compliance testing, Oil, fuels and Liquids analysis.

X-50 Mobile

The XRF Revolution continues with the pioneering manufacturer of portable XRF for on-site XRF analysis: the X-50 Mobile XRF. The X-50 uniquely satisfies the rapidly growing demand for benchtop analytical power with easy portability, offering a field-hardened package for on-site analysis in virtually any environment. The X-50 mobile XRF offers a higher level of power and performance not possible in smaller handheld XRF’s. Operating at up to 25 times the power of a handheld XRF, the X-50 is an industrial-grade XRF offering the performance of traditional tabletop XRF systems while maintaining Innov-X Systems signature XRF portability.

The X-50 is hardened for in-field use, unlike traditional benchtop XRF. It goes anywhere – it can be operated by battery or AC power. Its onboard factory calibrations make it exceptionally easy to use by non-technical operators. The underlying software can includes a full-featured analytical and user calibration package for advanced technical users.

Performance
The 50 kV tube and higher current yield unsurpassed detection limits by a portable system, and excellent performance throughout the periodic table. For example, the X-50 can detect many elements down to 1 ppm in soils, liquids and polymers, and down to 10 PPM in alloys. Of special note is far greater performance on Cd, Ag, Sn, Sb and other elements of vital importance to RoHS and environmental directives.

Portability

A rugged, miniaturized version of a bench-top instrument, the X-50 weighs just 11 kg and can go virtually anywhere for testing. X-ray tubes don’t require the extensive licensing and fees associated with radioactive excitation sources. It may be operated on AC power or an external battery pack.

Safety

The safety features of the X-50 are revolutionary for portable instrumentation. With a self contained radiation enclosure (closed beam) and non-radioactive excitation source, this is the ultimate instrument for safe and portable field analysis. In addition, Innov-X customers always receive a comprehensive safety training program and access to our customer support team with the purchase of any instrument.

Applications

Anything from Mining and Environmental through to RoHS and Oil Testing the X-50 has it covered.

Alpha Series

Classic PDA based XRF

Innov-X Systems introduced the ALPHA Series in March 2005. It is the lightest, smartest hand held XRF analyser in the world. Unlike other handheld instruments, the Innov-X manufactured equipment does NOT use a radioactive source for sample excitation. Innov-X designed the Alpha Series to deliver state-of-the-art elemental performance in the field without removing or even altering the material of interest. With over 4000 of the tube-based at work in the field right now - from the arctic cold to the desert heat - you can depend on Innov-X systems.

Now, with the Alpha series you have:

  • Tube based system, eliminating costly resourcing & loss of speed.
  • Multi Element Analysis in one measurement.
  • Versatile Portable Data Analyser platform.
  • Rugged probe head for tests to 425° C+.
  • Removable handle to reach tight areas.
  • Easy-to-read high resolution colour display.
  • Ergonomic, light weight design.

Decades of engineering experience in x-ray tube technology and ergonomic instrument design has made the Alpha Series smaller, lighter, tougher and smarter than other XRF analysers. Rugged, tapered probe head allows operators to perform thousands of tests per day, every day. Removable handle with belt-mount battery pack lets you test in hard-to-reach places. Optional holster lets you take the Alpha Series with you virtually anywhere.

LZX :  Internal Vacuum Technology

The Revolutionary Internal Vacuum technology (patent pending) allows the Alpha series analyser to detect Magnesium, Aluminium, Silicon and Phosphorous in Alloy metals. This is done by creating an atmosphere-free zone between the sample and detector allowing repeatable measurements of the low energy X-rays from these elements.

Forget about lugging tanks of compressed Helium around! The Alpha LZX has an internal vacuum chamber engineered to handle daily alloy analysis and can maintain vacuum for up to 6 hours.

Omega Series

Innov-X designed the Omega series for those with very demanding environments where moisture and dust are of a major concern. The Omega Series Hand Held offers a fully sealed, weatherproof XRF. It features a heavy duty, ultra rugged design that is impervious to moisture and dust. The high performance battery operated Omega series like the Alpha series produces instant elemental analysis of soils, ores, liquids, virtually any samples type

Advantages include:

  • Features fully integrated, sealed controller and industrial-grade touch screen
  • Tube-based system eliminates costly resourcing and loss of speed
  • Multi-element Analysis - in one measurement
  • Definitive Pos./Neg. Classifications
  • No isotope licensing or travel restrictions
  • Ergonomic, lightweight design
  • Easily measures uneven surfaces

Inspector Series

  • Tube-based system eliminates costly resourcing and loss of speed.
  • Single-element analysis - ideal for Lead (Pb) checks
  • Definitive Pos./Neg. Classifications.
  • No isotope licensing or travel restrictions.
  • Ergonomic, lightweight design.
  • Versatile PDA platform.
  • Easily measures uneven surfaces

Innov-X Systems has now received a HUD Residential Lead Paint PCS for lead-based paint measurements for the Inspector Series. This enables authorized inspectors to identify Pb Paint without isotopes in far less time, and without the cost and hassles of radioactive isotopes.
