SpectroMill®

The SpectroMill® is a Ball Pestle Impact Grinder which reduces a mm sized particle sample feed to fine micrometer sizes (below 44 μm) within 5 to 30 minutes.

SpectroMill-I has a single clamping mechanism that can accommodate one sample holder or one Multi-Vial Adapter, while SpectroMill-II has two such clamping mechanisms.

Depending on its size each vial accepts sample capacities of 1 cm³ to 30 cm³ and is available in the following materials:

• clear polystyrene
• hardened stainless steel
• rust resistant stainless steel
• titanium carbide (similar Rockwell “C” hardness as tungsten carbide).

Ball pestles are offered in compatible materials to the vials.

Multi-Vial Adapters with 1, 3 or 5 cavities enable processing up to 5 samples simultaneously. They are available with different bore diameters to accommodate a variety of vials.

GyralGrinder®

The GyralGrinder® is a vibratory disc mill which utilizes a puk and grinding discs made of hardened steel, tungsten carbide or zirconia. Within 1 to 10 minutes mm and sub-mm sized particles are reduced to below 44 μm. The operator can choose between 10 intensities of impact.

Mortar and Pestle Sets

Impact Mortar and Pestle Sets are available to crush large pieces of sample material prior to milling in a SpectroMill®. Available are general sets of hardened steel or stainless and hardened chrome steel for sample capacities of 13 cm³ or 70 cm³.
